Eliot White-Hill, Kwulasultun, Moths Dancing Around the Moon, digital, 2020
This piece depicts a scene that came to me at the end of the summer, moths were everywhere I went. They flitted against outdoor lights. I had read somewhere that moths navigate in relation to the moonlight. The synthetic light cast by us disrupts that, I can only imagine how disorienting it must be for them. We have disrupted the dance of the moths.
